The VIT supports teachers across all grades as they increasingly adopt digital technologies to improve their teaching methods.
We currently have 228 teachers registered on our learning management system. The number of teacher participants is expected to increase significantly over the next 3 years.
We have partnered with the Department of Basic Education to develop a Moodle-based set of techniques that teachers can use for self-development and improve their teaching skills.
These techniques are available: learning how to install localhost, getting familiar with Moodle functions, and creating courses on your Moodle site.

With 4 700 registered users currently using its platform, the Virtual Institute of Technology (VIT) expects its user numbers to grow “exponentially” over the next 18 months. This is according to VIT project manager Phumzile Hlatshwayo, speaking at the launch of the edtech company before a hybrid audience.
